Setting custom prices in VSite / VCatalog

Modified on Tue, 3 Oct, 2023 at 1:28 PM

Working with multiple partners/reseller/distributors implies multiple price levels. For each case, you can use one of the existing Price fields, or create an independent pricing. This might be useful if you have both predefined levels of discounts for standard resellers groups, and special agreements with some of your jewelry distributors.

Discounted vs Custom prices

While displaying a discounted price from an existing price in the system, Valigara will automatically calculate the updated prices. Your reseller will see the calculated price once he enters his private area in your VSite.

To define custom prices for specific reseller, you can add a stand-alone price field.

  • Go to Catalog -> Additional Fields
  • Create additional field of Price type, and calculate the desired values
  • Select the new price in "Price to show" field in the user's area in the VSite  or in VCatalog

Examples:

- define a 15% discount from eBay price.

- Create the additional field "TJMaxx price" and select it in "Price to show" field.

To define the user-specific price in the VSite

  • Create Reseller type user in the Clients page
  • In the Client Settings block, define the relevant Price level, the Currency and the Discount rate if applicable

Once the user logs into the VSite, he will see the adjusted price.

VCatalog

  • Open the VCatalog edit page -> tab General -> Data setup block
  • Select the relevant Price field, and related Discount if applicable
