Dependent Fields in Set products

Modified on Tue, 24 Dec, 2019 at 12:13 AM

Dependent Fields in Set products are automatic values, which sum the values in the same field of all the basic (child) products of the set.

For example, the "eBay price" or "Purchase Cost" of the Set can be the sum of the eBay prices / Purchase Costs of the relevant Basic products (f.i. Necklace, Chain and Earrings).

Values of Dependent Fields are calculated automatically by the system, and equal the sum of values in the same field in Basic products. Once the field is set as "Dependent", on change in the Basic product included in the Set, Valigara re-calculates the related Dependent field value in the Set product.

To set the Dependent field:

  • Global settings -> Set products
  • Enable the "Update Set product on basic product change" option
  • In the "Dependent fields" selector, select the fields
  • Save options

Allowed field types: "Whole Number", "Fractional Number", "Length", "Price"
