VSite SEO tools

vSite is highly adjusted for Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Valigara provides several tools to manage website SEO, page metadata, URLs, redirects, and page structure.

SEO settings

Go to Channels -> vSite -> SEO settings to manage the default SEO settings for the website.

• SEO Title - default SEO title for the website and homepage
• SEO Keywords - default SEO keywords for the website and homepage
• SEO Description - default SEO description for the website and homepage
• Product SEO title - select the product field for the product page SEO title
• Product SEO description - select the product field for the product page SEO description
• Slug - select the product fields used to generate product page URLs on vSite. This allows you to create cleaner, more SEO-friendly product URLs based on product data.
• Img Alt Text - select the product field for adding ALT text to product images
• Block robots - prevents web crawlers from crawling your website. This is useful when the website is not ready to be indexed yet.

Redirects

Use the Redirects page to create page redirects for URL migration.

• Supported redirects: 301, 302, 303, 307, 308
• For bulk redirects, use *in the URL to include all sub-URLs.
  • Example: https://domain1.com/* -> https://domain2.com/* redirects all pages from domain1.com to identical URLs on domain2.com
  • Example: https://domain1.com/product/* -> https://domain2.com/product/* redirects all product pages from domain1.com to identical product URLs on domain2.com

Content pages

Use Content pages to manage SEO settings for custom website pages.

• Each content page can have custom SEO parameters: title, keywords, and description
• SEO NOINDEX prevents the page from being indexed by search engines
• Customizable Slug gives control over the page URL and can be adjusted for SEO purposes

Category pages

Use Category pages to manage SEO settings for vSite category pages.

• Each category page can have custom SEO parameters: title, keywords, and description
• Custom Slug gives control over the category page URL and can be adjusted for SEO purposes
• The description block can be used to add SEO-related category content
