How to: Models - Set images conditions

Models often include products that require different images. This is due to different metals (white gold vs. yellow gold), gemstones (ruby vs. amethyst), central gemstone size, finish, or any other jewelry variation specification. As a result, Models often store different images relevant only to a part of related products.

When creating products from the model, Valigara ensures that only the relevant images are assigned to the created product. This is achieved by setting conditions to images stored in the model.

Common uses

The model has 3 matching metals: Yellow, White, and Rose Gold. And 2-3 images for each metal color.

Set the conditions:

Yellow Gold images should go to products where Metal Title = Yellow Gold
White Gold images should go to products where Metal Title = White Gold
Rose Gold images should go to products where Metal Title = Rose Gold

When creating products from the model, only relevant images will be added to the products

How to set conditions

Go to Inventory - Models
In the model page, go to the "Basics" tab -> Media
Click the "Gears" button of the image
Set the condition and save

All products created after this module will inherit only the relevant images.

To apply the updated settings to existing products, use the "Update Products" functionality in the Actions menu of the model
