Optimization tools: "Kill unsold" automation

Modified on Mon, 20 Jul at 11:16 AM

The Kill Unsold automation defines how to handle listings with no sales. If enabled, Valigara automatically removes unsold listings from the sales channel. Use this tool to improve listing relevancy and optimize click-through rate.

Standard options

  • After X days - define the number of days after which unsold listings are removed by the system.
  • Use Post Similar for repost
  • Don't kill items if an order occurred at least once
    • Prevents killing listings for items that were purchased at least once.
    • A product is counted as sold only if there are related orders on the specific account with one of the following statuses: Incomplete, Paid, Sent, or Received.

Additional logic

  • When the feature is activated, it starts working retroactively.
  • It removes listings only in the selected account.
  • Time is counted from the last post of the product. If a product has 2 listings, for example a GTC listing active for 3 months and an auction active for 3 days, both listings will be removed.
  • "Unsold" is checked from the last product post. If the product was sold 3 months ago, then reposted and had no sales since then, it will be killed.
  • When the listing is removed, it will not be reposted automatically unless the relevant repost option is enabled.
  • When the removal is triggered, the system sends an automatic email to the client with a list of removed listings.
  • All Kill Unsold attempts are recorded in the eBay Activity Log. Successful Kill Unsold records are added to the Product changelog.
  • If Disable instead of remove or Set QTY = 0 instead of remove options are enabled, the listing is not ended but updated accordingly.
    • If the client manually revises the item after it was killed as unsold, using user or batch method, the Kill Unsold time counter is reset.
    • If the client manually relists the item after it was killed as unsold, using user or batch method, the Kill Unsold time counter is reset.
